WORKPLACE RIGHTS – For all Workers

  • The Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU) has developed a dedicated page for information about your rights at work. This includes information about leave as well as safety at work during the pandemic. Check the ACTU regularly for updates:

  • The HSU is also supporting the call for 14-days special paid leave for all workers that can be used if and when workers are required to self-isolate. You can sign the petition calling on the Government to act here:

In South Australia

SA Health has regularly updated information concerning COVID-19 in SA including new restrictions for the community as well as workers. It is important that we all remain informed at this time and you can find SA specific for health professional information here:

Social Media 

Union members stick together- even if we can’t stand together. We know this is a stressful time, and HSU members are on the frontline of the COVID-19 response. To stay connected social media is becoming even more important!  We urge members to treat social media posts that have not been issued by official sources with a high degree of caution.
