Delegates and activists in the workplace are the key to the strength of the HSU.
Through union delegates, HSU members are able to negotiate better collective agreements and awards, resolve workplace matters and build a strong union presence in the workplace. HSU staff support delegates and members gain the skills and knowledge to organise successfully and run campaigns that create better jobs.
Delegates and activists are members who have agreed to become more active in the union because they are passionate about creating a better workplace and improving their working lives and the lives of their workmates.
